Have you heard of the Trolly problem?

A trolley is running out of control down a track. In its path are 5 people who have been tied to the track by a madman. Fortunately, you can flip a switch which will lead the trolley down a different track. Unfortunately, there is a single person tied to that track. Should you flip the switch? Why?

yes I have... and I always come up with a different way to derail the train and kill everyone

so today, and I am going with super magnets, could be difficult to set up, but hey... is just a hypothetical scenario right? let's just assume I could find them and set it up as well, lol

No I haven't heard about that. Kill the one person. We don't know why he's there. The people captured by the madman had no choice but to be there.

How about on one track one person is guaranteed to die. On another track five people are guaranteed to die and if train derails everyone on the trail is guaranteed to die. If they get off the moving train they die from injuries.

it depends who that single person is and who the other 5 are. If the single person is one of my kids or my wife or somebody close to me I would save them and let the other 5 die.
