How do I talk about my feelings?

I always thought I was good at talking about my feelings, but now I have realized I just let myself get rolled over and I never talk about it until it builds up and I break down on my own, then I restart. There is so much I want to say but I feel suffocated like I can't say anything. In my relationship there is stuff I want to say but I'm not saying it, and I know this is hurting both sides. But I can't get over this. How can I get more comfortable talking about my feelings?
