Why do I only attract older women?

So, I have a "problem"

I'm 22, 5'7-ish, athletic build. But I only seem to get women older than me, my now girlfriend is eight years older than me. We'll be celebrating her 30th birthday soon. I don't what it is, for some strange reason, younger women see me as friend, but not boyfriend material. But older women, normally 7-10 years older than me, see me as a boyfriend, and some as potential husband material.

I normally I avoided them, but then, I just caved, and gave one a chance. I even lost my viriginity recently. I admit... I'm falling hard though I don't really show it.

Sometimes I feel like a failure, because younger women don't like me and I'm just taking love where I can get it.

Are there any older women who possibly know this conondrum? Or someone who's been around the scene for a little bit?
