In a relationship, how trusting are you of your partner?

Fully. I expect, demand, require absolute mutual trust (together with preserving personal spaces, like passwords and alone times).
A relationship that is not based on trust has no point to exist because lack of trust fuels any possible issue you can encounter and mostly gives anger, fear, anxiety, confusion, overthinking, overreactions, loneliness.
While the point of a relationship is to feel peace, safe, relaxed, secured, joyful, understood, and to connect with each other on a deeper level than what best friends do. Without trust, you can't get this, you get only a "hope" to get this, that can keep you hooked there for even many years.

Good communication skills are a very important requirement to preserve trust. That doesn't just mean to be introspective enough to formulate your problems correctly, but also to have the courage to tell them and in the best way (because you know by experience your partner takes it rationally and doesn't overreact), and to allow your partner to do the same, by proving your reliability in listening and navigating the problems.

Trust is extremely important and difficult to build, and becomes extremely difficult to rebuild after breaking that even just once. You can forgive your partner for something extreme they did, cheated on you, overreacted about something, did passive aggression, silent treatment, judged you negatively any time you open yourself, etc, but forgiving only cancels the anger and the tension of the moment, to make things back to normal. But it doesn't cancel the memory of what you witnessed. You will know for the next months or years what your partner is capable of, and you will take an incredibly long time to restore trust about that for real (as long as your partner works on the problem and truly never repeats what they did, for very long, not even once, otherwise all the effort breaks again and the negative feedback is reconfirmed, this time reinforced).
As you can see it's extremely easy to run into couples that stay together without really trusting each other. Is that good? In my opinion, no. It works? Yeah, it drags for long and it's not ideal for both partners, but in terms of duration, some couples stay like that for even all their life.
