@nolabels Yeah, back in the early to mid `70's when they were still funny. Even before they lost Belushi, they stopped being funny!! I think they were trying to be like Monty Python, who never had a finish for their skits but, they had links to go from one to another! SNL only had commercials!! MP also didn't repeat the same skit over and over again!! How many times can you watch samurai this or that before it stops being funny? It's like playing peek-a-boo with a baby on a plan. After about 5:00 of it, you just want the damn kid to go to sleep, or something!!

Yeah, disco sucks.
It did in the 70s, and it always will.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that disco never really existed.
I never experienced it in real life nor on radio, nor do I know of anyone who can say that they actually bore witness to it.
Since disco was only seen on TV, my guess is that it might have been an early form of CGI that fell far short of its intended goal, but the TV executives rolled with it anyway, hoping to recoup their Research & Development costs.
We saw how that worked out!

I quit watching SNL myself many years ago, but I still managed to see those head bobbers somewhere along the line.

@nolabels Oh, there were a handful of good disco records, mostly because they weren't exactly disco. They came close and were considered disco but they really weren't.
