Okay, My friend @Msputiton put me on the spot and asked me to answer my own question. Well here it goes, in no particular order about me & the misses

Communication is a biggest for us. We are like two best friends. We even know each other so well, that we know all the dirty secrets, and that's little and the big whoopers. That's includes the funny, embarrassing, shameful, the inconceivable, the scary and the shit that would make you shit your pants

Trust: We have a great trust in each other.

I have my female friends, she has her male friends. We have no issues with each of us spending time with them alone. We do not fear the other will cheat or be Inappropriate as we are open about our separate lives away from each other.

Respect: We don't cross each other boundaries and we don't talk shit about each other behind their back.

These 3 things kept us together for 31 years & we will have another 30+ years to go.

I'm single but a thing that used to connect me with the guy I like is when we would point at things and have discussions about them. Like I would point at something in my work environment that another person tampered with and complain about it and he would empathize with me and make a joke out of it to make me feel better. Discussing our family history was also something I enjoyed, he would ask me about my background and I would have discussions with him about my relationships with family members. Another thing that united us was food - I would share food with him during lunch and we would talk about the flavours of the food.
