I was excluded by almost the entire female population when I was young, because I was not an ‘exciting’ scumbag.
At first it upset me, but, eventually, I realised that abusive losers and the multitude of females who craved them deserved each other.

I’ve been excluded for being to mean but also for being too nice when I learned being a dick doesn’t make you friends , when trying to make friends. For how I looked, for my family issues, and for many other reasons honestly been through some shit and been excluded due to the baggage weather I’ve lightened the load or not people define you by your past excluding you from a chance of feeling normal

I don't think people could be rejected for having good qualities. People are rejected for qualities other's deem bad.

A lot of people think others dislike them out of jealously. Heck, I had a weird encounter with one on here just a few days ago: someone posted a question asking why other people hate them, and the body of the question described how intelligent and knowledgeable the asker was, suggesting (stating, actually) that these other people were just jealous. I left a well-meaning reply suggesting that they might have some other cause for disliking the asker; my response was deleted immediately and the question was updated with more amazing things about this person.

I would say that's more derived by their own bad qualities rather than been rejected for having good qualities other's have since people with everything still get irrationally jealous.
There is a difference here yet I do get your point. It can feel like you've been rejected for having good qualities but honestly that person was going to reject you anyway as it's not really based on who you are, more based on who they are.

I'm not saying that people actually get rejected for being too good. On the contrary, it's often because they're conceited, condescending, or have some totally unrelated flaw that they don't recognize. They adopt a persecution complex to rationalize how other people could dislike them when they think themselves so great.

The person in my example seems to have a habit of building themselves up, answering their own question, and seeking validation.

As soon as i tried to cut my self destructive habits, I lost a lot of friends. Made me realize most of the time we hung out was doing dangerous shit or just toxic shit. Lucky not all my friends. But a lot did jus say ur not the same, ur not fun anymore, bc I started caring whether I lived and was OK at end of night
