no it's the other way around. a relationship/marriage is better when the woman loves the man more than the man loves the woman. this can occur when the woman is the first to have a crush on the man (not the other way around) and pursue him. if it were the other way around, should the relationship fall apart, at least she can tell herself he wasn't her 1st option anyway.

I argue your first issue is your not picking a man that loves you… your FINDING a man that loves you. It seems like semantics but the right words are important. If you happen to find a good man you’ll think your lucky where as if you PICK a good man he’s the lucky one who you picked.

The best marriages for whom? That would make it better for the woman, and the reverse would make it better for the man.
The only caveat is that women are responsible for ending the vast majority of marriages, so I imagine a marriage is more likely to last if the woman is happy.
