Why is jealousy in relationships so frowned upon in society, especially when it comes to men? Why are they considered controlling and weak?

I think people who struggle with jealousy should be understood and other should encourage them to change their mindset, rather than resent them.

I agree as a little jealousy is even good as it helps establish guidelines and expectations. At least there is some concern for the other involved. Communicating to one another during these times is a great way to build a relationship together. Expressed and processed jealousy is actually a relationship builder as long as each partner becomes more secure once processing and discussions are completed.

Jealousy has and does get people killed. It's one of the main reasons why women get killed by current of former partners, and not a mild reason of why delusional stalkers end up raping and or killing their victims.
