@suzzieQ The thing is that it does not keep you together, it does not really make you happier or live longer. It does not make you much wealthier, at least, where I live. If fact, a wedding is so expensive.

We have a program on tv in UK called "Say yes to the dress". We bought ourselves a half decent car for what some people pay for the dress alone.

Studies have shown that married men are happier, more successful, healthier and live longer. The same cannot be said for married women.

You dont have to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding, takes maybe a few hundred bucks to get legally married.
