Been together/living together for 7 months, knew each other a month before that, I moved to another city to be with him, noticing whenever there is something to do or somewhere to go he is always inviting other people to join us - small weekend trips and weekly events/shows in the evenings he's always inviting other couples or family to come along?

This is strange but the pattern is consistent. Perhaps, he is trying to find the perfect couple to be friends with. The ones to vacation with who both have kids and bring or hire a Nanny... you know the Life Friends.

Perhaps, now that Modernity thinks it is cool... he could again be looking for the perfect couple to be FriendZ with too...[

Didn't you kind of rush the whole moving in together thing? You knew each other for a month and moved in together. Maybe he wants to hang out with other people while still being with you. He's with you for most of the time as you live together, so ruling out the time you both are working or not, there's still a lot of time you spend together. Rather than see this as a red flag, just tell him how you feel and would like to go out as just the two of you.
