How do you make time for your partner if you or them have a busy schedule?

Be it a few hours away or an entire time zone away, what ways can you make time for your partner? For example, my boyfriend and I are six hours away. He’s up at 4am Monday through Friday and my schedule constantly fluctuates. He’s off on weekends, I’m normally not. He goes to the gym nearly everyday after work, I stay home and game. He goes to bed early, I go to bed late. He doesn’t like to be on the phone when eating, I could care less. Kinda feel sad that he said he’d call me and stay on the phone with me for 30 minutes once he gets home but that instantly dropped off after two times. Sometimes I’m at work when he gets home so it’s understandable. He hangs out with friends mostly or takes hours cleaning. I don’t go out so I have more time to talk. I admittedly have more time on my hands than he does but it’s nice I can talk to him while he’s at work and vice versa (When management isn’t around of course). Gets lonely at times, I think I would like more personal evening conversation that doesn’t involve a PlayStation party chat with friends. (Date nights used to be Sundays but that too fell off cause we play the same game with our friend and Minecraft is way too soothing. Plus we don’t play too many multiplayer games)

Sounds like the relationship is an impossibility until you two get on same schedules. It’s in these kinds of situations that guys get in trouble. We need alone time and people in our location start looking good to us. Just saying that it may be better to part before someone cheats.
