Why do freshman look up to seniors? Do they think they are cool or what do you guys think when they see one senior in their class? What makes them like them so much and stare at them a lot as well? And want to be class partners with one?

Kids are impressed with just about anyone that's a year or so older than them. They are supermen to them. They have more life experience and already know what goes on in the next four grades and might be able to teach the ropes to one of the younger kids.

It's fairly natural for us to look up to our older peers, this can come out in anything from wanting approval from them to hating them

They want to show off. And if they can have sex then they can say something like I'm so cool older girls/guys want me in bed too

I’m a senior, I am just wondering what they think about me since I always stared at by them (like I have two classes with mostly freshman and sophomores) and there is one girl who constantly stares at me/checks me out and then wants to be partners for projects

And her friend at the table we all sit does kinda the same thing sometimes while the freshman does it every day

Kids romanticize what it means to be older and they are in a huge hurry to grow up and get more freedom. You are close to the position to which they aspire.
