If you’re in a committed and loving relationship but you find that your partner is still following people that he had slept with or dated a couple of years before you met, how would you react?

Absolutely.

If I'm dating someone, I'd prefer if they weren't still in contact with their exes when they're with me, unless they have a very good reason as to why they are, like if they're their classmate or co-worker and they need to stay in contact to work together on a project/work.

Even then, I wouldn't appreciate it if they were still close or let alone "friends" with them. Call me insecure, but there's no reason for you to still continue to see them, unless either one or both of you still like each other to some degree. Other than that, they shouldn't hold priority over me in their lives and if that's the case, then that right there is a major red flag, and they can gladly stay with them instead. Good riddance.

Yes I think its childish on their part.
If you are in a aerious relationship old hookupa shouldn't matter. Or exs in the past just get in the way.
The S/O should only focus on your relationship.
Now I dont think having friends of oppisite sex is bad. But if S/O is hanging out with them often or ignoring you. Then I say its a problem.

You have a right to be jealous and upset. Just dont let the jealousy rule over relationship either.
Tell him truelly how it makes you feel. If he ignores your feelings then maybe you should let him go.

Shit I still follow my ex and have pictures on my instragram account of each other. He has the same thing and yes he is a relationship. Not going to lie but he doesn’t look happy with this one. He looks way more happy when he was with me, but I was the one that ended it and I’m doing fine. He still looks at my account from time to time and we still have each other on Snapchat. No we don’t talk but most of my friends I’ve had since high school on there and it’s nice to see what they’ve been up to.

No, I still have exes on my Facebook for instance, and I never interact with them. It's nice to see how they're doing, even if we didn't work out. Also, my husband doesn't even use social media except for reddit. If he did, I wouldn't mind him following his previous girlfriends or hookups. We have 100% open communication, and I trust him to tell me anything going on.

I’m not saying this to bash others, I’m speaking for myself. I wouldn’t put enough energy into caring about my partners past. I honestly don’t feel like that’s healthy to be jealous of past partners and situations.

There may be feelings of jealousy, but it is important to combat any discomfort unless your partner is unusually active on their feed or vice versa. Be the bigger person, and do that for your own sake, let alone humanity. At the end of the day, regardless of jealousy, social network as a tool for opportunities, lacking a person whether past intimacy or not, you could be closing doors or unaware of the benefit they could bring.

That’s unhealthy. If you don’t plan on going anywhere with the relationship and it’s not really serious then by all means hang on to old flames and keep pictures of ex’s you supposedly “ moved on” from. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

That’s why people shouldn’t jump into a relationship right after a break up, ya got residue feelings still there. If you find it difficult to let go of anything related to your ex, you got issues you need be single for awhile to heal.

jealous? more like concerned. why does he need to continue following someone that was only a hookup? better yet, why was he following a hookup in the first place? hookups and dated are completely different. if they dated and it ended on mutual terms, i don't care. hookups on the other hand... you should be concerned.
