Married people, is it worth it? is single life or married life better?

I've stuck with a lousy marriage for 30 years because I had a child to raise. That chore is now done.

Now, chronic severe illness has me dependent upon my wife for nearly everything. It's still really hard being married, even with me being in dire need of help with all but the most basic aspects of living.

I put in my years of torturous husbandhood and fatherhood. I guess I'm being somewhat repaid finally by being somewhat reluctantly nursed by my wife.

Worth it? I'll never know. If I'd remained single, I may have been dead and gone by now, or I may not have become ill at all.

Before I became ill, I'd tell anyone to run for the hills away from marriage. Now, being dependent upon my spouse, I just don't know.

There's no way to know.

Marriage is and always has been hard work. Most westerners these days don't have nor want to do what it takes to make their marriage last.

once develope mutual understanding and known the difference between you and your SO...

things get easier... both are not two people... but their goal is one... they do everything for the shake of one... that's For Love between them...

So the conclusion that I’ve come to is that I don’t understand women. I can please them VERY well…short term.
But I’ll never get married again.
I’ll have few friends. The fewer the better.

Depends entirely on who you marry. I was in a terrible marriage, now I'm in a good marriage.

I'm not married and I doubt I will ever be. Marriage is a raw deal for most men today.

Half of marriages end in divorce, women initiate 80% of them, and men get screwed in divorce and family court. And marriage today does not offer men nearly the benefits marriage of the past did.
