Why is it a man's job to make accommodations for a woman's insecurities in a relationship, but it's not a woman's requirement to do the same?

It should be equal. In a relationship, above else you should be friends who genuinely care about each other. It shouldn’t be based off of rules you read online or your friends or an eye-for-an-eye or role-based. It’s two humans who should love each other and want to make each other happy. If your partner doesn’t want to help with your insecurities then they’re not the one.
