So my girlfriend of year can sometimes take days to respond to a text. Is this a bad sign?

Yeah, that is not good. Is that your only communication when you're not seeing each other? How often do you see each other, if she's taking days just to reply to a text? I would actually ask her upfront why she takes days to respond. No one is that busy, especially if it's your own boyfriend. It's quite disrespectful and shows she isn't prioritising you.
