Why are parents so fixated on the lamp being turned off in the car?

There is vision issues and I've heard that a cop will pull you over for it. If you've ever gotten a pointless ticket where hundreds of dollars just go bye-bye... that's some bullshit I'd rather avoid dealing with. I'll pull the car over and slap the shit out of everyone in the car.
Then there is the battery issue. Little stuff like a light, a charger plugged in, the radio on with the volume turned down... that could equal you not being able to start the car.
It's difficult to see if it's night time driving. If you drive, you know what I mean
I dont drive lol. But I get it
Omg I'm always yelling at my kids to turn off the lights in the car. It's a issue if they are left on cause they will kill the car battery and it won't start
Oh damn!
Because if itโs on then itโs easy for others to see whoโs sitting in car.
Keeping it off is for little privacy

For many years I thought it was actually illegal to have that thing on while driving at night. To my shock I only recently found it that it is in fact quite legal.
Why parents actually want it off is that it causes it to be hard to see out of the front window the eyes react to the light and makes it that much harder to see the road outside when driving which could cause an accident.
my parents have never said one word about the light in the car
Nice for you lol
Because their eyes react to the light inside the car and they can see much less outside of the car.
Oh that makes sense
can't they wear sunglasses tho?
what I'm talking about applies to night driving and nobody wears sunglasses at night
Oh ok lol
Light reflects of windows, reduces visibility by a lot.
Makes sense!
Because they can drain car batteries if they are left on.
Alright
maybe because some of them get very hot, and also at night it's hard to see to drive with it on for very long
๐๐ป๐๐ป
Because its annoying when driving and hard to see out the windows and mirrors
It's unsafe having a light on in the car. Limits outside visibility. He can't see.
When driving at night it is a distraction.
Because I can energy saving
Exactly
