Rarely because guys often have also problems to deal with and depending on how big those problems are they can get in the way. Especially in terms of low self-esteem/self-worth or how their life goes since some guys have actually given up finding a woman.
It might have worked more in a time where there was no internet but nowadays more guys start to get insecure about their life and therefore avoid dating since they think they are not worthy enough.
The number of guys that would try to make it work no matter what is small.

I want to show him that he’s not any of those things, he’s a great person inside and out. I want to be patient to show him but I guess I should also take him as his word.
