I think it depends on the person. I hear a lot of guys complain about online dating sites and how useless they are. Personally I've have better luck online then I do IRL. I dunno, maybe these guys have higher expectations than me? Maybe they're less patient than me?

But I also realize how 95% of the women online DO NOT want to date anyone though. I DO NOT message women first. I'll tell any guy who will listen, the rules online are different than in real life. Yes the guy approaches IRL. The woman approaches online. Because there SO MANY guys just trying to hookup. The burden falls to find the right guy. Not like IRL where the burden falls to the man to find the right woman. So maybe I don't get discouraged as much because since I wait for them to message me I take a lot less rejection. It still doesn't always work out. Maybe she determines we're just not compatible, and she moves on. Either way we have civil exchange.

I think it's not that. It's that people expect dating apps to take their work out of it. They still need to present themselves well (and honestly) and work through getting to know people.

Ehh. Online dating is tricky. First of all, you have to figure out if the person is who he says he is and that you’re not being catfished.

Easier, because meeting in person is nearly impossible when my type is a gamer, artist, geek, etc, but still very difficult because for some reason those women are too scared of online dating sites to use them, and too scared of trolls to show that they are women on gaming platforms.

So for now at least, nothing works to find a match, but mechanically speaking, online would be much better (if only they would just bother using it...).
