I used to be a jealous, possessive person (more jealous than possessive), but I grew out of that. At this point in my life, if someone wants to be with me, exclusively, great. If not, then I won't bother.

I think possessive, I'll use the word territorial, is a necessary trait in all mammals. It can be easily understood by using a pride of lions as an example. There's only one, sometimes two, male adult lion, but many lionesses. The females are responsible for hunting and the males role is to patrol the area for threats, including prideless male lions. Territorial right?

While some jealousy can be advantageous to recognizing whether your body is telling you something's wromg, past this, it's a an emotion with a feedback loop amplifying the damaging effects it has on your health
