Is anyone else watching the Americas Cup racing?

I watch it when I notice it's on. I'm sure the TV ratings are a lot higher with the hydrofoils then when they were regular sailboats years ago. I like the catamaran type with the foils since they 'fly' higher than the mono-hulls. Yes, they are amazing.

@docster. You and I are old enough to remember when the Australians took the cup from us in 1983. Dennis Connor pulled out all the stops, has NASA, automotive manufacturers, and major computer companies, helo design a boat to win the fucker back in 1987.

Thank you for the information! You are right, there is very light air in Spain and apparently these boats are having a lot of trouble staying up in their hydrofoils. Still 30 knots is a lot faster than I've ever gone in a cell phone. I'm going to try watching it a lot today and see if things get better.
