While I get its human nature, how often do you judge others? do you tend to be more sympathetic to those who don't argue/insult you doing your job etc?
85% of the people are dead beats who barely pay anything and their cars STINK of marijuana. 15% of debtors are good people who have hit hard times. I am very gentle and sympathetic to the people who have hit hard times, not so much to the dead beats. I am always grateful when someone is respectful.
Just to give you an example, last night I jacked a 2023 Audi A6. The guy bought the car in Texas, left the lot, and never made another payment. No sympathy.
of course. definitely plenty who don't deserve sympathy like that.
Yes, do you ever come back and watch the reaction when the deadbeat realizes his ride is gone?
About a third of the time the debtor comes out and confronts us. Most of the time if you give respect you get respect. I explain the situation and usually get the keys to the ride. However, ther are people with no sense, "the cars in the shop so I ain't paying for it"... no, sir, it does t work that way.
There are times I am pulling out only to see the debtor cone running after me shouting "hey, that's my car"!!! Not anymore slick, pay that note.
Hahahaha, the perks of the job
We realize that jacking someone's ride is a major hit and we take it seriously. One of our guys got shot with a 12 gauge a few weeks ago and is likely paralyzed on his left side. I had a girl pull a knife on me yesterday... the job has its issues.
