Can an emotionally immature man truly love ❤️ another person?

We all have our stupid 💩 we do but, some people — for this discussion guys — are so emotionally stunted that it's loke dealing with a brick wall.

Can a man who is so emotionally immature that he does/is the following:

• Easily infatuated
• Shallow
• Cannot apologize unless he is cut off and ignored for extended periods of time
• Flies off the handle and is vengeful
• Pouts and shuts down when he doesn't get his way
• Always wants chance after chance

Can such a person actually love another individual?

Love isn't something logical and thought out. Love is just something you feel. Really an emotionally immature person tends to feel their emotions stronger than a more nuanced person. They may not be expressing their love properly or in a well thought out manner but that doesn't mean the love isn't there.(I've never met a guy who has a video game obsession. I've only met guys who play video games. Most dudes are only gaming a few hours a night, instead of watching tv or using their phone like people who don't play video games. )

I am biased because any sort of video game playing is such a huge turn off. This answer is really solid though. And totally right about the lack of nuanced emptions.

Thats fair, I guess. Any woman who has a problem with me having a hobby just because they don't get it and doesn't interest her personally is a turn off for me. I go to work, pay my bills... so what if I play some skyrim for two hours at night? Lol.

I agree. Having a hobby is important. And I wouldn't be with someone who chooses gaming as a hobby and you wouldn't be with a woman who doesn't like your hobby. You seem offended for some reason and I don't get why. I wasn't attacking you. I was just detailing my perspective since you mentioned gaming in your initial response.

it will be obsession/fixation/infatuation or something else... but not love

even if it were a more genuine love, it will not be the best kind nor the healthiest love they will have for someone

well, there could be many reasons as to why people grow older but remain immature... and not just one, but it is usually a lack of experience which is caused by a few personal or social setbacks

and we can all have these, sure... but some people just become less able to deal better with it

Well that would be society's fault it and the people in it.

When you have tons of different people all telling you all the different ways that you need to act and handle your emotions that this way is right and that way is wrong and everyone is saying something different and you hear that starting at an early age well it's gonna fuck up a lot of people emotionally.

As for your list that can be just as easily applied to women.

As for the answer to the question itself well yes they can just as a child can.

A) I wasn't talking about all men so don't twist what I wrote.
B) Not everything is someone else's fault
C) The question isn't about women since I don't date women.
D) Biologically women's emotional processing centre's in the brain are more developed than men since we are the nurturing gender.

A. I know what you meant it wasn't meant to twist what you said but I did use it in a blanketed way because a lot of guys do have issues with emotions unforntetely. So that's why it was phrased that way, not to twist what you said.

B. Absolutely right however in the case of what we're talking about society did make a major impact on that specifically especially given how people will try to follow social norms or how people want them to act in order to fit in, attract women or in men, whatever the case may be. We can't deny that it does indeed have an impact on younger individuals like kids. And that can end up causing issues later on in life we're already seeing that sadly.

C. I know that, merely used to show that it can go both ways.

D. While that is true it's often not reflected in how a decent amount of women seem act for all that development women typically engage in more childish behavior on average, gossip, jealously, backstabbing, etc.

I definitely won't deny that some men do gossip pretty hard, but in my experience it's usually more women though I don't find anything wrong with that. Part of the charm I suppose.

My biggest trap is being easily infatuated with women. I have to somehow be caring but not appeasing. My guard against that is finding a way to satisfy both our interests.

I think it goes both ways. But guys a lot more and it wears off way quicker than for women. They leave girls all confused like what happened 🫨. Girls that don't know how fickle men are anyway.
