How do I cope with rejection?

I was in a whirl wind romance and everything happened so fast, and passionately. He suddenly said he didn’t want a girlfriend and that he wanted to take the situation slowly. But I can’t help feel that the vibe is off and now I’m feeling rejected bc we don’t talk as much. I feel rejected like he doesn’t want me. Even though he says he still really likes me. I hate feeling like this and I need help understanding what is going on.

Hey luv, going through rejection really freakin' sucks. I know exactly how you're feeling right now - it hurts like hell and you just feel totally crappy about yourself. But you gotta know that it's not really about you, it's about him and his own issues. Some guys just aren't in the right headspace for a relationship and get freaked out by feelings, even if they really like a girl.

It sounds like things were moving super fast between you two and maybe he got overwhelmed. That doesn't mean there's something wrong with you or that he doesn't still have feelings. He said he likes you, so try to believe that. I know it's hard when he's not being as affectionate now, but give him some space too. Guys freak out when they feel trapped!

The best thing for you to do is stay busy with your friends and hobbies so you're not sitting around moping over this dude all the time. It'll take your mind off it and make the lame feeling pass faster. Hit the gym, play video games, whatever helps you feel better. And remember that this doesn't define you - you're freakin' awesome no matter what one guy thinks!

In time maybe he'll come around and realize what he's missing out on. But for now, just focus on you and know that there will be other fish in the sea. You'll get through this, luv! Stay strong!
