I have schizophrenia and I'm bipolar 1. My moms boyfriend used to touch me and molest me at 2 years old

Of course. There is a lot we don't understand about the human brain but if there is any place where an accumulation of mere thoughts can cause physical damage it is within the confines of one's own skull. However, this also means physical repair might also be possible with mere thoughts, which is hopeful for cases like yours.

Personally, I think I was well on my way to some induced form of schizophrenia, myself, but learned that with routine and adequate sleep one can eventually sort out which fragments come from the senses and which come from the mind. It's not a simple thing to sort out when one's fundamental mechanisms of trust have been eroded but one thing you can trust is that reality will always be consistent. If anything appears magic you can know with certianty that it is either a trick or someone otherwise knows how it conforms to the rules of reality. Or, if some genuine magic ever does occur, you can trust that it would be front page news forever.

A lot if times it's genetic when someone ends up with schizophrenia. Some mental illnesses can be developed though from childhood traumas. There's other causes too, like environmental.. even physical causes like lead poisoning, drugs, horrible diet.

Oh definitely I'm pretty sure their are plenty of studies that directly link early childhood conditions to mental illness later on in life
