I did. For years I loved this girl… literally dreamed about her all the time. We were less than just friends. Online friends mostly… although I went to visit her a few times in 10 years, a dinner here, lunch there type of thing. Helped her move twice… she came out camping with me a couple of times also. I finally got the nerve up to confess my love one night (after drinking heavily) on a camping trip. I was almost instantly shut down, I expected nothing less. In my eyes she was a goddess, and me, I was a simple mortal. A month later we went camping again, this time we made love. The excitement level was so high I think I came in 10 seconds. My whole body tingled. I couldn’t believe this was happening. I didn’t deserve her, never was going to be able to give her everything she needed. I never wanted to hurt her and the best way to do that was to stay away… but I couldn’t. I wanted to be as close to her as humanly possible.
We live in different states and at times it seems different worlds. What we have won’t last but what does? For me that excitement I felt that first time is still there… I believe she never felt it. No matter where we go from here I will always love her and the thought of us together that first time still brings a tingle of excitement to me.

Se I always assume that guys always get bored with a girl eventually even if they felt as you describe at the start. Am I wrong?

You are right and wrong. Everyone and every guy is not the same. I could get bored of a girl that displays bad behavior. I can’t speak for other men but I am very tolerant person and I put up with a lot. But then it’ll build up to a point and I’ll pay less attention to her and care less for her. That might be seen as being “bored” but it’s not. It’s getting tired of bad behavior or undesirable behavior.
As an example I was married once to a girl that liked to drink… I didn’t mind that but she was always getting drunk. We talked many times about it but she still would drink to the point of being a sloppy drunk. Eventually I had to pull away… become distant. From the outside people might have thought that I was bored with her… not the case. I was pulling away from her bad behavior, that’s all.

Freshman year in college there was a girl I met that I really loved. She had a boyfriend already but I could not forget about her. Eventually she broke up with the boyfriend but still she seemed to not be interested and sometimes I though maybe she did. When I came back from spring break she was in my room waiting for me. A couple of weeks after that she ended up in the hospital. She made sure that somebody left me note to let me know where she was. Finally she said that she cared for me and we spend a whole weekend together. It was just amazing.

Didn't really land her, but we saw each other for 2 weeks straight in college. Pretty much saw each every day any moment we had a chance. This extremely attractive blonde girl with the nicest smile that made you feel happy yourself. It made me feel like I was on top of the world. But alas, I came off too strong, trying to see her in her classes as well and it turned her off entirely 😂
