What's it like to be a stay at home girlfriend/wife?

I want to be one so bad. I hate working. My boyfriend says I could be one day with him but he has to get the money first which could take years. I want to be one right now.

A stay at home mom isn’t eating bon bons, watching your favorite lifetime movies, getting your hair and nails done while your man works his ass off.


You will be doing the cooking. Cleaning. Most the work with the child (the father must play a role). He shouldn’t have to lift a finger.


But. I hate to break the news to you. You’re allowed to have standards sure. But you’re not entitled. Someone doesn’t have to do something like that. Women who are entitled. Men hate that. Men with self respect don’t want that.

I am happy in my current relationship. I just wish to be a stay at home girlfriend and I know it's not just eating bon bons watching lifetime movies and getting my hair and nails done which is stereotypical to say might I add because I don't do any of that shit to start with. But I know what it takes to be a stay at home girlfriend/wife. I know I have to take care of the household while he is gone. And sometimes help with his business. Which I am willing to do.

I am a writer. I would love to have time to just write my books. Not own a business.

I don't think so. A stay at home girlfriend/wife is taking care of the household and taking care of the finances. That's a lot of work.

I doubt that. You still have to take care of the house which is a lot of work. And once kids come in you have to take care of them too.

A stay at home mom is different. When your kids are grown and you still wish to stay at home, that's cool because you have given him the greatest gift he could ever receive.

But a stay at home wife (who hasn't given him kids) is just code for bum in my book.

I'm a writer so I would be writing my novels and hopefully be successful with them not to mention helping him with his business. So I wouldn't be a total bum.
