This is funny, I am actually on a train heading back home after visiting my girlfriend in santa maria. It was the first time I had seen her in 4 weeks, and was worth it. Long distance is pretty hard, no matter how good the relationship is, it can be ripped apart simply by the lack of contact. What I did is I put up pictures of her in my dorm, I talk to her everynight, and we even have phone sex. The piont is, I don't know how serious you and her are, but if you want to make it work you can, and try to visit once in a while.

I completely agree, my boyfriend and I live in different cities for the summer when we're not in school, and I'll be honest it was a rough 3 months, there were times when we both questioned whether our relationship was strong enough to make it through. That being said, it was made bearable by constant communication. We set up weekly skype dates, made sure to call at least once every couple of days, sent cute and flirtacious text messages when we were thinking of each other and of course visited
