Single forever in my case. I get along really well sharing my house with my wife of 14 years, rather miraculously well (no real fight so far).
Yet it was still a sacrifice. I have to think about how I spend my time and money on her behalf and have much greater responsibilities now. It's not the same as being a carefree bachelor where I can do whatever I want and have fun all night long. It's a sacrifice for which I have no regrets given the mutual devotion my wife and I have together.
But it's too much for me if I have to share a house with multiple wives and/or multiple husbands and a multiplicity of children on top. That's just too much to deal with for me. It's a miracle that I can share a home with my wife with so little drama but I really doubt I can experience so little drama with multiple wives and/or husbands in the picture.
Being a bachelor living on my own wasn't bad at all. That was way more fun and required way less responsibility. So if monogamy isn't an option, I'd rather just be a bachelor living on my own for the rest of my life and just have fun with women with no prospects of ever having children.
love is love...
I would prefer that over being single

Obviously I would prefer to have something over nothing.
