I'm in a sort of confusing situation with a guy friend. The last time I visited him, he told me I was special to him. With me, he said he is never bored and that's why he likes to be with me because we always keep on laughing. We also enjoy bantering and arguing.
He also previously told me I meant so much to him and got emotional on my birthday. The guy is a self-admitted commitment phobe so I don't pressure him into anything. I'm also a commitment phobe myself. I just enjoy everything as it comes.
Lately though, ever since we went to a resort just the two of us, i saw his caring side and I felt like I really had a boyfriend during that vacation. He tells me when i'm eating too fast, helped me when i had leg aches, took all my photos and videos all throughout the trip. Gives me food and if I visit his house, he often gives me something to bring home to.
Then, he created a video for me on that trip complete with caption and music. I honestly felt touch but lately I'm confused as to what all this means because on one hand, he is very upfront with me and tells me that a lot of people like him. When we are together, he tells me oh so and so is flirting with him and tells me someone is also inviting him for a trip.
He then tells me that the downside of us going to the trip together is that we both can't talk to other people. Basically blaming me for preventing him from seeing other people. I said it's okay, he can go meet someone. But he dismissed the idea. Surprisingly, he said next time we should book in this particular place. So he still wants to go back together.
On the other hand, he cares too much on that trip and kept asking me if I'm okay and if I might be unwell. I told him he worries too much. He said it's part of his caring nature. So i told him to lessen it a bit.
I'm not sure if he has those feelings but based on these actions, what do you think?
