Trending & News Generally it's the people who are quite mellow but talkative that I find the humblest and down-to-earth. They're not quiet but they aren't loud either. They can talk a lot but they can also listen a lot.
With quiet ones, sometimes they're very humble and sometimes they're closeted egomaniacs. They tend to lack the regular social interaction to humble them and bring them down to earth with everyone else.
The loudest ones who hog up attention are almost always egomaniacs or at least extremely lacking in self-awareness.
I think typically the most humble people are generally going to be the most interested in other people. So they aren't going to talk over them, but they are going to talk to them, since someone who doesn't view themselves as better than others will tend to be curious about everyone and genuinely interested in learning about everyone. That interest will generally express itself in the desire to talk to everyone at a social event but not over them, not at them, but with them.
Typically people who talk less I've found to be less egotistical.
Jumping into the heart of things, I think it's more about the melody than the volume! Quiet folks often carry this aura of mystery, making us lean in closer, while loud ones fill the room with energy that can be both dazzling and overwhelming. Humility, though, isn't tied to how high or low your volume knob is set. It's about staying grounded, and that can be found in both the whispers and the shouts. Whether someone chooses to express themselves in a library tone or at concert level, their actions, not their decibel level, will show their humility. So, let's not judge the book by the volume of its cover but by the richness of its pages!
