Perseverance and growth. Too many times people get with someone who is already built a lifestyle and just hop on without doing any part in creating said person, which is absolutely lazy and untrustworthy. Also, too many people decide to hit the road when times get tough, and expect everything to be happy and sunshine and rainbows. Being willing to work together and build a life together, and go through thick and thin with each other is what makes a great relationship.
