- Sex/intimacy
- Genuine RESPECT
- Appreciation
- To be needed.
That's really it. That's enough, and when men get these things, if they're even half-way decent in terms of morals and values, then they'll do just about anything to protect, provide for, and make happy their woman - and that includes working terrible jobs that they hate, or even sacrificing their own lives.

Asker+1 yI totally agree that men are pretty simple. As a woman, I think women make relationships waaaay more complicated than they need to be. It's important to have a good female support group in order to get a lot of the more complex things we need. It seems so many women expect their man to fulfill a lot of those needs and then are angry when he doesn't have the capacity to think/act like a woman! It's also sad that so many women don't understand that, just like we need emotional intimacy to want to have sex, men need sexual intimacy to be able to open their emotions up to us. I tend to get preachy with other women about all of this. Now, I have something to share with them because of the men who have answered this question for me. Thank you!

You are so right that women need other women to talk about things that are important to women, but will never be important to men. Most men are never going to expect the average woman to be interested in sports statistics carburetor rebuilds, or WiFi optimization, because we realize that most women don't care, and that's okay. But so many women expect men to be interested in the social lives of people we barely know, or the different styles of dress sleeves, or whatever, and if he's not, she thinks he doesn't care about HER. imagine if a man said that his girlfriend:wife didn't care about him because she didn't want to talk about interest rates for 2 hours a night.
Women are told that men are terrible and selfish and abusive if they don't act like her female friends, but that is insanity. Men are not and will never be women, and women would hate them if they were.
Asker+1 yWell, I will definitely spend time on discussing interest rates and listening/asking questions about carburetor rebuilds; but you're gonna lose me on wifi optimization and sports statistics -- I can feel my eyes crossing just typing those words!! You know what tells me a man cares about me? He goes to work every day and doesn't expect me to do everything around the house after I've put in a full day, too; he asks how he can help me when I'm not feeling well, he takes care of the drippy faucet and I didn't even ask or expect him to, he likes me best without makeup (because I don't wear any except flavored lip gloss anyway) and with my crazy curly just-woke-up hair, he watches out for my safety, he's honest (but kind/tactful) even if it hurts and hates that it hurts me, he sees my unfiltered self and he's still right here. I love when men are men because it allows me to really be my full, feminine self. I love being a woman. Sigh.
Asker+1 yThanks for the kind words. Like I said, I do get preachy with other females. I guess it's mostly because I wouldn't want my big brother treated the way so many men are by the women in their lives. But, I have seen that there are a lot of good women out there, who either know or are figuring it all out. The crazy thing is that most men haven't figured out how to find them. I appreciate your thoughts a great deal. Thanks for sharing them.

+1 yI come home to a peaceful house and I'm appreciated. No nagging and even little things I do are appreciated. It feels really nice and I'm a lucky guy. My exwife used to nag me all the time and it made me not want to do anything for her because I was always trying to avoid her. My current wife does things for me that makes me want to do more for her to try to keep things even.

Falling in love is like diving into a pool of emotions – it's thrilling, a bit scary, but absolutely exhilarating! When a man is really in love with his wife, it's as if he's found his partner in crime, his confidante, and his biggest supporter all rolled into one. What he needs from her, besides that killer smile that likely knocked him off his feet in the first place, is appreciation, respect, and a sprinkle of space for his hobbies and interests. Trust me, when these elements are balanced, it's like having the perfect recipe for happiness. Add in open communication and mutual support, and you've got yourself a love story that could give Hollywood a run for its money. Keep the flame alive with spontaneous dates, little acts of love, and, most importantly, never stop laughing together! Because at the end of the day, laughter is the secret ingredient to a happy, lasting relationship. 😉

10 Replyso, a man must feel not pressured or doubted. for a woman to love a man must be looking to keep him healthy, offer some kindness and real gratitude for his effort.
if the man loves that woman he will feel like he must his job of protecting and providing for her.
i have a false nostalgia of a past times where women didn’t have to choose one of 50 instaman, and men 1 out of 10000 pornvideo

Asker+1 yHow long ago did you break up?
- +1 y
Asker+1 yI just realized who you are, so full disclosure: I asked this question anonymously, but I'm the one who you said wasn't worth responding to. I just wanted to let you know out of respect, in case you would rather not interact. 9 years is a long time. I had a good friend who had a similar experience and was sad about it for years. He did meet a wonderful woman and has been happily married for a few years now. I think it can happen when we've done the work to really heal and are in a better head space that will allow us to be open to possibilities, at least. I'm not going to be preachy with you -- I know how much it can hurt bc I lost the love of my life when I was just 19. I wish you only the best.

Thanks but I don't hope to find anyone you have the wrong idea. I'm not sad about it. The fact that women are a protected class is what pisses me off men like me don't matter. We're just demonized disposable afterthoughts and that's all we will ever be. To me because women are so cared about and loved they mean nothing to me
Asker+1 ySorry, I disagree that men like you don't matter. I have 2 daughters and a son. My son is as precious to both his dad and me as the girls are. He could never be a disposable afterthought to me or to his family. He's my youngest and I love how he is so different from his sisters and has been from birth. I come from a community that believes all human beings are equal. Men and women are equal but different, like two wings of a bird that must work together or the bird is crippled. I do believe that the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction at this point in our collective history and women are, on a societal level, wreaking their revenge, In my family we celebrate our femininity and admire and appreciate our men's masculinity. So, all of this strife between men and women just makes no sense to me. I believe we are all powerful in our own right. The challenge is how to use that power for the betterment of the entire human race. If I'm hearing you right, you're saying you're not sad, you're angry. Especially in today's world, it is difficult to be kind, respectful, helpful -- all of the higher attributes of a human being. It seems so easy to be hurtful, step all over people's boundaries, always put "me" first. I would like to apologize if I offended you earlier. I don't know you well enough to have said what I did, even if I meant it in a light hearted way. So, I am sorry for that. I'm at a loss because it is difficult to hear what seems to be such disillusionment, especially when it is justified in so many ways. Just know that even if I don't know you, I actually do care. That's the feminine nature in me. A woman who is in touch with her true nature naturally wants to nurture land sooth the people she comes across. I truly do wish you well.
Asker+1 y@docyoks Not quite sure how it applies exactly, but it sounds sad.

I'm not even going to read that entire post. I stopped once you started talking about your own children. It's not family who will consider their own kin disposable afterthoughts 🤣 are you kidding me?
Asker+1 yI don't consider anyone disposable, never have. Just by virtue of being a living being, you are not disposable. I know and spend my time with a lot of other people who think the same. Of course I love my own children, but I also love people, in general. My wish for you is that you will understand that you are not disposable either.
+1 yLogic tends to leave the room. That depends on the guy.
