A very close friend of mine broke up with her boyfriend 6 months ago, he cheated on her, she's been trying really hard to forget him but she said can't think of any other guy than him. She says when she sees his picture she still finds him cute, she says "I don't know why this is happening to me, why such a person is still cute to me".

I don't understand the reason behind this, perhaps some ladies here could help me out and explain to me why this happens? So i understand and then will be able to help her.

Please help me I don't like to see her in pain.

She's 21 and she's been with that guy for last 4-5 years. Just adding context to make it easier to answer and more relevant

Thats normal took me around 2 years go get truly over a 8 year rl. Time needed is different for everyone.

She should ask herself if she truly misses him or only the intimacy they shared. I highly doubt she doesn't resent or his hurt by his cheating so she just misses someone close that she can talk to, that knows her, someone to cuddle, etc

Again time will heal all wounds.
