You tell a woman you love her and you want to be in each others lives for the rest of your lives… and then you ghost her, why?

A friend of mine recently admitted he loves me. Previously, we’ve talked about our friendship and what not. And we have already crossed that line, texting/picture exchanges, etc.

He told me a while ago that he hopes I’m in his life for a long time. But then, out of no where… he just stops replying to my messages and doesn’t call me. Doesn’t answer if I call.

I basically tell him, I’m not interested in being ignored. Either be in my life or not. And it was about four days. He didn’t respond. I basically said ok, bye… so long and thanks for all the fish. He finally said something about if he’s ok with this, we’re done. And all I got was, “I’m not,” nothing else.

So what in the world would make a man say, “I love you, I want you in my life,” to he fell off the face of the earth?

The same thing that would make a woman flirt with a guy. Touch him seductively. Smile and bat her eyes. Then when he asks her out she tells him, "I just don't see you in that way".

It has been 6 years I’ve known him. I have actually tried to cut him out of my life a few times and every time, he begs me not to because he “wants me in his life.” It makes no sense 🤪
