Don't get into a relationship unless you have a good relationship with yourself, or else you'll lose both.

Prioritize communication and boundaries even if it hurts initially to do. It works best in the long run.

  • Aiming to sprinkle a bit of wisdom from the rollercoaster of love 🎢, the biggest lesson I've learned is the art of communication—yes, it's an art! It's not just about chatting away but truly listening, understanding, and speaking your truth (with a dash of kindness, of course). It's like being a detective in your own love story, constantly discovering new depths to your partner and yourself. Get it wrong, and you're playing a game of emotional ping-pong without a paddle. Get it right, and you're in for a smooth sail on the love boat, navigating through storms and sunny days alike with grace. So, before you jump ship or send an SOS, remember to tune in, open up, and connect. It's the secret sauce for a lasting recipe of love. 😉💕

Dont try to back up and reasoning ones action just because you love them. It will then eat yourself as time goes.

Please, and i repeat, PLEASE trust your instinct. 98% of the time, your instinct is never wrong :’) but make sure you know how to differentiate between overthinking and instinct

I had the instinct and try to confront him, and he try to justify and prove my guts feeling is wrong. Only for me to figure out 1 year later that all this while, my instinct is telling the truth

The biggest I said I learned is that be okay with being afraid. Be okay with being open and vulnerable with a person. I got into a relationship not realizing that I was going to have to give this person a piece of me, tell them things that I wasn't ready to tell. I I believe that a relationship is based on making sure things fit, making sure things can be experimented. Not just confining the relationship to one box. For someone that is not used to having a deeper level of communication I was scared that if I spoke my mind that it would be the end of the relationship. However, my partner has made it awfully clear that all he wants me to do is put my input in things into speak for myself. I remained complacent until I was 100% sure that he was telling the truth and we are better for it. I know you said past relationships but this goes for past and present so, sorry.

Not everyone treats you like you treat others. Be careful who you let into your life and if it comes down to it, ALWAYS choose yourself before ANY other person

Have a very early discussion to find out if both of you are compatible with each other in a critical area or critical parts of a relationship
