They could be interchangeable, but not necessarily. You can still have feelings for someone once the initial crush is over. By definition, a crush is irrational. It's an intense feeling for someone, often someone unattainable. At the early stages, you fall in love with the perception of a person, not with the person himself/herself.

Once you get to know him/her better, have both of your feet on the ground and realize how irrational everything is or was, there can still be feelings. The question is: what do you do with them?

Crush can be purely Carnel, and physical desire.. with less risk of emotional pain. It can be satisfied by hooking up few times.

Feeling can more than just physical desire, this required long emotional connection and relationship to feel satisfied
