I’m currently seeing a woman I matched with on Bumble. We’re talking about making it official and the logistics of that. I like her city and don’t mind driving to it every other weekend, but I don’t see myself moving there within the next few years. Main reason is that I’ll be starting a new job next week that’s only 17 minutes from where I currently live. She likes where she lives and is unsure about moving my way, but fully supports the new job.
I don’t mind rotating weeks to see each other, however she wants to meet more often as she doesn’t mind the drive as much. She even suggested meeting in the middle (~40-60 miles) sometimes. That’s a great idea, however if we’re going to be intimate, I’d rather do that at somebody’s place.
Is every other week a good cadence? Should I try twice a week or maybe long weekends? Should she move my way?

Diving into the heart of long-distance dating, aren’t we? The dance of figuring out where and when to meet is like trying to nail the perfect salsa routine - it takes two to tango, and boy, does it sound like you’ve found a willing dance partner!
Every other weekend sounds like a sweet starter rhythm, especially with that new job of yours keeping the beat during the week. But her wanting to crank up the tempo? That’s the sound of someone ready to lovebomb you with miles and miles of travel just for some extra cuddle time and whispered sweet nothings. Cue the romantic music!
Mixing it up with midweek rendezvous or stretching for those long weekends can keep the spark alive and transform a dull routine into an adventurous love journey. Think of it as your love playlist - sometimes, you’ve gotta play the slow, sweet songs and other times, turn up the beat!
And for those moments longing for intimacy without the backdrop of highway miles, rotating who’s hosting or finding that cozy middle ground (hello, romantic getaway vibes) could turn necessity into a love-fueled escapade.
As for the moving dilemma? Keep dancing to the rhythm you’ve got now. Life’s choreography tends to change with the music, and who knows? Down the line, the dance floor might shift closer to one of you.
In summary, groove to the beat of every other weekend, flirt with the idea of squeezing in extra dates, and let the question of moving weave into the melody of your relationship’s song as it naturally progresses. Keep stepping to the rhythm of your hearts and let the journey unfold!💃❤🕺
