How would you design a relationship "communication toolkit" with your partner?

One of the first things we did was talk about how to deal with issues/disagreements.
Step 1:
Each, in turn, clearly state in detail what we believe the issue is.
Step 2:
Isolate any differences in what we believe the issue is.
Step 3:
Resolve those differences and find common ground, never interrupting each other and ALWAYS replying verbally to each other's points.
Step 4:
Now that we both have the same understanding of what the actual issue is (or at least understand what the other person's view of the issue is), we talk about how to resolve said issue. Again, never interrupting each other and ALWAYS replying verbally to each other's points.
Step 5:
Put our solution into practice.
Step 6:
Check in later and make sure the solution is working.
Step 7:Sit back, relax, and enjoy our newly found peace, or (if the solution isn't working) reassess and repeat.
Great take on the process, but I should clarify when I said toolkit, I meant physical things. Like imagine a literal toolkit 😂
It was more of a question based on creativity. Think of all the things you'd put into a basket to make communication fun or solve communication issues
Oh lmfao.
A phone with a data plan and a tablet w/keyboard for extra quick journaling?
There we go 😂
Already did that!!! Here's the play by play:
STUFF YOU CAN NEVER SAY!!
“You always …” and “You never..."
“Yes, but …”
“You should be more like _____.”
“This was never an issue in my other relationships.”
“You’re overreacting.”
“Calm down.”
“It’s not that big of a deal.”
Also: ASK before it gets heated, Do you want me to help solve this or just listen?
It's really helped!!
Lock ourselves in an all white escape room overnight and talk it out since we can't escape eachother. Next morning we’ll be very cum-fortable
Lmfaooo that was clever
Hahaha

My toolkit would not include texting. If something important to the relationship must be discussed it either has to be done in person or in a phone conversation. Texting has no emotion behind it and words can be misinterpreted.
