What’s a fictional couple you admire, and why do you think they represent an ideal relationship?

Claire Randall and James Fraser. Outlander. Oh. Yes.
Nowhere else I've seen such a modern take on archetypal romance, they are equally strong in character and force of will, mutually saving their skins, living through so much jazz I can't spoil and yet, still wanting to push onward and bonding? That's... psychologically unrealistic at times, given the traumas we're talking about. But, symbolically, inspiration strikes me so damn hard here. It's unreachable, it's nowhere near a straight road, but that's fiction.
Good choice. I watched 4 seasons of Outlander.
This is a long an not easy watch, psychologically, but the humanity in there really shines
Homer and Marge Simpson. They love each no matter what and they never get old.

Belle and the Beast. Certainly not real, must be ideal.
Gomez and Morticia Addams have an incredibly healthy and loving relationship in pretty much every iteration I’ve seen but the 1990’s movies are where it’s the most prominent. Easily goth couple goals.
Another would be Carl and Ellie from Up. An entire life together, supporting one another happily and building joy in a way they might never have expected as they face different issues together, like how Ellie found out she was infertile after they tried so hard to have a child. They still built a life together just focusing on one another and were so happy about it even without building that family they wanted.
For me it's Adrien and Marinette from this show I watch called Miraculous Ladybug because their relationship reminds me of my current relationship because Marinette had feelings for Adrien for a really long time but she never had the courage to tell him because she was afraid of rejection and she reminds me of how I was with my now boyfriend but he was my crush in middle school and high school and I was always too scared to tell him I liked him because I thought that I told him I liked him and he didn't like me back things would be weird between us but turns out he did like me back and as of now we've been together for a little over 2 years
@HawkPerception Shrek's Donkey and that smokin' Dragon chick easy bro!! I mean.. fucking a dragon.. talk about a "Grower" Lmao.. that shit takes some skills🤣🤣
Gomez and Morticia Addams. 🤣 Completely dedicated to each other and extremely passionate.
Jeannie and Tony Nelson if he had been horny and asked her to fulfill his fantasies.
Rob and Laura Petrie. They were just two nice American people trying to raise a family and be good parents and citizens.
They’re not fictional, but I admire F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald for staying together and maintaining a rrlationship and loving each other despite both being bad alcoholics
Joe McMillan and Cameron from Halt and Catch Fire
Best series of the last decade hands down.
Ellie and Carl had to be the most wholesome couple
Aragorn and Arwen. Not sure it was ideal, but was pretty awesome.
Aragorn and Arwen they really loved and respected one another.
Odysseus and Penelope. He fights tooth and nail to get back home to her and she uses every trick in the book to hold off an army of suitors all thinking her husband is dead. Loyalty is the theme of their romance, I love it.
Tarzan & Jane Greystoke.
