On a scale of 1 to 10, how important do you think having similar interests is in a relationship?

It becomes more important the older I get. I really want someone who I can admire the arts with. I want to go to art galleries, concerts, and film festivals. I want movie marathons, rap battles, poetry serenades, and to lay around enjoying music together. I want someone to travel with to watch different xgames events and surf tournaments. Im a homebody who likes occasional road trips and random flights especially if casinos and theme parks are involved lol. I’ve dated only a few guys who shared my interests in theme parks, skateboards, and film. Almost all shared my interests in pool and music taste. But most were into video games, hiking/camping, photography, basketball and history/artifacts/museums. Im not into that stuff
8/10 important
For me it's like a 9/10. I've always found having similar interests helps in the relationship. If my partner doesn't like the same stuff I do, it's likely it won't work out. Of course they can have feminine interests that I don't have. But I love camping/hiking and talking about philosophy and psychology. I'm passionate about design and fashion as well. I'm a health nut too so someone that's health conscious and as interested in that stuff is a must. They should also enjoy working out... etc.
Im not into hiking but i do want someone who works out as well. I dont want a health nut as i’ve dated 3 of those and 2 nearly killed me. I dont want a gym freak but i do want someone who tries to exercise weekly. I've dated a lot of slim men who never exercise because they feel its not needed with such a high metabolism. Bt being skinny doesn't make you strong/in shape. So i do want someone who works out
10... You guys must have something similar to talk about preferably a topic that you guys are fo into.
I like the topic about God. I read the diary of St. Faustina and her entire family is so into religious topics.
The faith topic is a big mystery. I believe that God reveals uniquely to each one and when you read the Bible you can interpret it differently. I used to get so confused about the Holy Trinity but for me my way of understanding it is like the Dragon Ball tv show where that green guy would multiply
Of course it is still the doctrine of the church that would overrule because they are the expert but listening to personal opinion of people is interesting
It allows you to do more things that don't have to be romantic, because you like them and would probably do them without that person anyway.
On the scale?
Not very. Why wouldn't you be interested in your partners interests though.
A little more. We all have interest in eating when we are hungry and we all enjoy flavor but some will analyse flavor and how the flavors interact. I just don't go that far. We all enjoy swimming on a hot day. There are a lot of things that we enjoy in common but not necessarily at the same level.
I enjoy history and if there is a nuance I discover it can give me a buzz for a week. I just don't expect another person to get the same high I got.
I do want a girl who is interested in the world around her. Being interested is an interest that is mandatory to me.
