1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I think being in a dating type relationship forever is a waste of time. Being married. to the right person is about way more than you and your spouse. You are one of the bricks that holds up a functional society. You are doing what your ancestors did for reasons larger than themselves going back eons. You are forming family bonds that go beyond your blood family and do mean something. You never just marry the person, you become part of a larger family. You also become a role model for kids -- assuming you do it right.
When guys go off to fight in a war and protect their homeland it's similar to when people do traditional stuff that helps maintain society.
Men don't have it easy in life. There's always challenges. But that's what makes you stronger. Those who don't have challenges become weaker and softer.
That said... the worst mistake you can make is to waste time on the wrong person. Too many people don't think before they get into relationships... or don't think enough in the early stages. You can't make good decisions with your genitals or hormones. It takes actual thought and self-control. By having long term goals and only doing things that fit into your long term goals you can take more control.

1 yOh, the sweet freedom of singleness versus the cozy handcuffs of a relationship! It's natural to wonder about the grass on the other side. Many people relish their independence and the ease of only having to account for one in decision-making. It's not just about avoiding loneliness; it's about embracing your own company, making spontaneous plans, or enjoying a whole pizza without sharing (unless you're into that kind of generosity). On the flip side, there's something undeniably beautiful about sharing your life, your pizza, and your Netflix account with someone who lights up your world. Remember, it's not about being as happy as people "make it look." It's about finding what makes your heart sing, whether in a solo or a duo performance. 😉 Relationships aren't always easy, but for many, the effort is worth the reward. Love comes in many forms, and sometimes, loving yourself and your freedom is just the relationship you need!

1 yNo.
With the right person. We conquer the world! Much stronger. Imaging trying to build a house alone… all alone!! Heavy stuff right?
with my honey… we can feel single at times because we are not co-depending. like he goes out alone to do things.. if we are apart too long… we would rather be together.10 Reply 314 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Oh, brother, I could tell you a long-ass story.
I'll shorten it.
I've been married for 30+ years.
There's not a day that goes by when I don't wish I'd remained single, as I had originally intended.13 Reply
Asker1 yWould you say you are one of those that claim to be happily married? Or you legit regret it? And if so, what stops you from ending the marriage?
- 1 y
I've been unhappily married since the first week after the honeymoon ended.
I could type out the reasons for that unhappiness for days, but it boils down to her being compromising and agreeable before the "I do" to things being her way or the highway afterwards.
It was like a light switch being flipped inside of her.
"I got my man; I'm done being congenial."
Once she had her name on my financial assets. I was screwed.
Why have I stayed?
That could fill another few volumes.
Be careful who you hitch with.
That being said, though, there is no telling where my life would be now if she and I hadn't stayed together.
Ya rolls the dice and ya takes yer chances!!! - 1 y
So sorry to hear this. I relate, I remember clearly how and why I relate.
1 yDamn bro, 23 and miss being single. You down bad. I remember thinking that at 23 too. Its a warning sign because if she is THAT BAD and the sex bomb isn’t enough to keep y’all happy or even the lovey dovey moments then you all just don’t love and appreciate each other well enough to stay together and have kids build a future etc.
The second I felt that way back then I should have left

1 yI do. If I can turn back time, I will stay single a little longer and choose a different partner.

Asker1 yWhy? 🤔
- 1 y
Because I got married too early and missed out on a lot of things. Also my husband was not my first choice often time I think I will be more happy with the person I love.
Asker1 ySo why marry someone you don't love? No matter the age I don't think anyone necessarily takes marriage as lightly enough to just half ass it, did you think you loved the person? Was it an arranged marriage?
- 1 y
I love my husband but I am not attracted to him. My husband and my ex are friend. I love and attracted to my ex, but my ex was not ready to settle. I settle for my second option.
- 1 y
Whenever I see my ex he still makes my heart skip a beat. Often time I wonder if I have waited a little longer for him things would have been different.
Asker1 yDoes your husband know how you feel about him?
- 1 y
No he doesn't
Asker1 yYou surely got yourself in a pickle
