I want to room with my boyfriend for uni next term bad idea?

For uni I want to room with share a dorm with my boyfriend, it’s that or a roommate and id really struggle with a roommate due to my anxiety. However I know lots of people say it’s a bad ideas. Thoughts?

It could go either way. First of all does he know that you’re considering this? He may not want to share a room w you. He’s young. College should be fun. I’m not sure how much fun he would be able to have w you there almost every day maybe 24 hours a day. I think you should experience college as well, have fun, meet people. You don’t have to get crazy, partying, one night stands, etc. You’re going to meet people who are going to befriend you, maybe invite you to things. Not sure if he would be too happy w you going to certain things or how happy you’d be w him going to certain things on campus like a party. If you two stayed together it could give you a good idea of how each person would be living together. I don’t like a messy house. So if you’re messy that would be an issue w me. Maybe he’s messy and you don’t like it. So there could be potential arguments about things like that. I’d talk to him more. Hopefully he’s honest. More than likely he won’t be because he’s going to be concerned about hurting your feelings if he doesn’t want to be roommates.

He wanted to get an apartment together for uni but money so i don’t think he’d have an issues with it. But I'll definitely talk to him and ensure its something he's okay with. But I agree on the getting to know someone thing so thank you!!
