I have an impending fear of having blood drawn, I need a sedative and numbing agent before they can do anything with me. This comes from being on the farm as a youngster, and giving needles to animals, where I inadvertently got stabbed by large gauge needles, now when I feel them putting a needle in my arm to draw blood, I can feel it, causes me great distress. I can take immunization shots with smaller gauge Neals no problem. I doubt I will ever get over this fear.
