On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited would you be if your partner planned a spontaneous weekend road trip with no set destination?

It would be stressful for me. I wouldn't mind the spontaneity, but not having a place to crash would send me into overdrive worrying about where we are going to stay, if there is availability, etc. Part of me wants to just roll with it, but I would physically be unable to handle the stress (gotta love autoimmune diseases!). So, spontaneous, yes! No plan or place to stay? Not so great. :D

Isn't that an oxymoron? Spontaneous means not planned in my book. Spontaneous means walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water, and ending up on a road trip for a week.

You can definitely say you "planned a spontaneous weekend." It may sound like a contradiction, but the idea behind it is that you set aside time for a weekend getaway or activities but left the details open for "spur of the moment" decisions. You planned the freedom to be spontaneous. It gives structure to the time while still letting you be spontaneous in the moment.

10 - unfortunately, it never happened. Also, my partner is not the best at planning so the moment he'd tell me I'd have to postpone it by a day or so to sort everything out lol
