I don't know. The truth is I don't really get many chances to be super spontaneous. We both have jobs. We have kids. As spontaneous as we could get is getting the exact same days off from work to vacation and then just make it all up as we go then.
We talk about it. For example, we were driving back from Washington D. C. on our last trip and she was looking out the window and talking about these things she was seeing and how we should stop and go exploring and such but we had to get home so we could get back to work in the morning.
It would be great to have no jobs and to be set and then you could just go wonder and travel and explore whatever you felt like and be gone for a month or two. Probably when we retire we can do that.
A planned vacation , road trips can be boring if you don’t really know where the hell you are going
Probably a somewhat planned road trip. :) I get too easily stressed by the logistics. I try not to, but my body doesn't handle stress well. I'd perceive the lack of planning as stressful, even though I love spontaneity. I wouldn't mind spontaneous as long as I knew we'd have a place to crash every night. It's like my brain is totally for it, but my physical body is freaking out.
Haven't had a proper vacation in years so next time i have vacation i will go to an all inclusive resort for a week where i don't have to go more than 200 steps a day and then after that a non planned trip where i only have flight and hotel pre booked 😂
Gotta balace it 😂😂

Most of our trips are planned… however, we do make changes last minutes… like we decided to not go to HK and just stay in Korea when we got there for the transfer… they charged us a small fee for not getting on the plane.
I prefer to hit the open road without any plan. The only thing we may agree on is which direction we are heading. Once we have our bearing, we travel and stop wherever we want.
My very adventurous husband has always been spontaneous and I appreciate that a lot.
He's also very crafty when he plans romantic vacations.
I voted for planned. I like to book tours and excursions ahead of time, but I also like to wander around and explore on my own.
The spontaneous trip sounds like a lot of fun, but the reality is not many have that option just to hit the road especially when you have a family and jobs.
I don't have much vacation time, so neither is possible. In a perfect world, a planned vacation would be nice
Spontaneous for me, planned to the nano second for her... why?
Spontaneous for a sure!!!
No surprises.
