Have you ever been so sure of something but were wrong?

I mean this in particular to love I like this girl actually I’m pretty sure I’m just in love with her and man everything in my fiber is telling me that this is meant to be and I feel like it will happen it’s so weird I’ve never felt this way before like I’ve been in love before where I really wanted it to happen but it never did just cause you like someone even love them doesn’t mean they’ll love you back I don't know I could just be delusional but this feels different. have you ever experienced something like this before if so what did it lead too. ?

Long story, but i kinda just keep it short.

I was in love back in hs and we dated. Her parents forced us to stop. We waited about 5 years so we could date freely and when we started back up the spark was gone.

I literally didn't date anyone for 5 years waiting for us to get back together and when we did it lasted 1 or 2 months and was nothing like it was in hs

Thats so sad but waiting 5 years for someone is some serious dedication it’s kinda how I feel about this girl I’m crushing on now everything is literally working against me and language barrier she’s in another country on top of the she’s an OF model but I don't know what it is everything is telling me she’s the one and from our chats it might be true I don't know yet for sure but my heart sure asl has made it up its mind and my guts saying the same but I could always be wrong
