What if men and women lived on different planets?

Imagine disaster strikes earth and the entire population has to be moved to two planets in orbit around another star within the Milky Way. A misogynist world leader, strongly prejudiced against women, decided that it was better to separate the sexes. Women have been moved to planet A and men to planet B.

There is a space station roughly equal distance between the two planets. On paper, it’s only meant to be visited by astronauts from planet A or planet B. Purpose of the visits are scientific research and science-controlled procreation, so as to allow kids to grow up on either planet, to prevent the population from dying and disappearing. Again, kids will be strictly separated by sexes.

As with all things human, scientific research makes way for commercial greed and soon there are ‘holiday packages’ to either visit the space station or even the other planet where you’re not supposed to be. What would you do if you had the financial means?

I’d make a once-in-a-life trip to experience first-hand what the population of the other planet looks like. I know it’s going to be a round trip and a short stay. I’ll make the best of the trip while I can.
As a man living on planet B, I get plastic surgery and have a boob implant. When I arrive at planet A, I tell them I’m really a woman and get a visa to stay indefinitely. I pretend I was sent to the wrong planet as a baby.
I’m gay / lesbian, so I don’t care. My planet suits me fine. I’m having a field day.
I’m wealthy enough to buy 10 round trip tickets. I’m going to actively contribute to the repopulation of both planets.
I put all my cash in a fund-raising project to have half of the female population shipped to planet B and half of the male population shipped to planet A. Let’s make things as they were before.
