Long or short, what is your love story?

I dated a girl for a few months and it really was not going good, She really was not who I thought she was, I had plans to see a concert with her and than I was going to dump her. The next day was Memorial Day weekend and I went to where my family has a summer house. I went with a friend of mine from the neighborhood and I was going to give up on dating maybe forever and planned on spending the weekend at the beach. I was cleaning up the front yard which was covered with seaweed and debris from winter storms when a group of 5 or 6 people walked by. My friend stopped to talk to them It was an old lady that lived up the street and a few others. I did my best to ignore them and kept raking the yard. I noticed a girl in the back standing there. She was wearing a tan sweatshirt and cutoff jeans and sneakers with holes in them. She had brown curly hair and the prettiest smile I ever saw.
I ran into her at the grocery store the next morning and walked with her for a while trying to talk to her. She wanted nothing to do with me. She finally told me that she lived in the town next to where I lived and just graduated from college. The rest of the weekend I kept an eye on her grandmothers house hoping to catch a glimpse of her but I never saw her. On Monday we were going home. I put my truck in line to get on the car ferry. I was the 9th vehicle in line and the ferry carried 9 cars. I also noticed that her car was in line as well. We would be taking the same boat so I would have about a half hour to figure out how to ask her out. So the boat showed up and the cars started to load. One of the vehicles was a large truck that took up 2 spaces so my truck was bumped. As the boat sailed away I saw her laugh at us because we got left behind. I was a little sad about it but I was not without a plan to find out who she was. She told me that she just graduated from college do I drove to where she went to school and went in the library and got the class yearbook and went through it page by page until I saw that same smile. I saw what her name was. Then I knew she lived in the next town so I want to the town library and got the local phonebook and I was able to find out where she lived. And got her phone number. Just to be on the safe side I drove past her house and saw her car in the driveway.
It took me a couple of days to work up the nerve to call her out of the blue and ask her out. So one night after dinner I went into my bedroom and called her on the phone. It was obvious that she was not pleased that I called. She asked me how I got her name and phone number so I told her the story about the yearbook and she was actually pretty impressed that I went through all that trouble. After we talked for a while I asked her if she wanted to go out sometime. She told me that she accepted a job out of state and was leaving in a couple of days. I just blamed my bad luck and tried to put it out of my mind.
I went back on 4th of July and as I got off the boat she was standing on the pier waiting for her brother who was supposed to be coming. She had to eat dinner but we made plans to meet up later. We walked around the entire island which is about 5 miles. It turned out we knew some of the same people and we went to some of the same events. I used to hang out at the McDonalds in her town. She worked behind the candy counter at the local cinema. I told her a story about going there and I was waiting in line to buy popcorn and all of a sudden a fight started and everyone started pushing and shoving and the manager and some for the ushers were trying to break the fight. She was working that night and she remembered the fight, The next day I took her out in my little boat. On Sunday I invited myself to go up to see her. It was a bold move and I cannot believe that I did it but I also cannot believe that she agreed with it.
So in two weeks I drove 300 miles up the coast to see her. She cooked me a special seafood meal and we went sight seeing in the tourist area where she moved to.
We were married about a year and a half later.
Wow that's such a lovely story. You were really persistent and it paid off. Good for you!
One day while sitting around a campfire, my auntie told us how her son met his wife. My cuz was a handsome lad, but he was very, very shy. The object of his affection was a very purdy girl. I don't think that's why he chose her. He just liked the cut of her jib. (country folks, and all)
Tom: Hey, Sandra, some of us fellas are fixin' to get some beer and go down to the river and do some smelt dipping tonight. You think you might wanna come along?
Sandra: Hell yes!
William Shakespeare had nothin' on Tommy Boy. Tommy spoke from the heart.
I'm gonna write a song about it..

well I meant my late wife while she was working as a nurse in a nursing home, I was bringing her in a parent, there was this other nurse who had been trying to get me to date her for like 4 months, but I did n;t like her, so on my way out this other nurse handed me her number, and on the back was my late wife number, called her 2 days later we were married 37 years until she passed away Feb19th 2018
Aww that's such a nice story. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Aww how romantic!
It all started in 6th grade when I met my now boyfriend but back then we were just friends and we became really close but as the years went on and we got a little older I started to notice how cute he is and I developed feelings but I was too scared to tell him because I thought if I told him I liked him and he didn't like me back things would be weird between us anyway fast forward to 12th grade he started signs that he liked me too like once I was on my way too science class and held the building door open for me, another time we were on a college tour together and I got cold and he gave me his jacket and finally we were at lunch one time and he let me go ahead of him in the line but I was oblivious and thought he was just being the sweet person he is anyway fast forward again and it's a month after we graduated high school and he texted me one night and asked if he could tell me a secret and I said sure and he told me he liked me and asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes and as of now we've been together for 2 years
Aww that's so sweet! Happy for you!
We met on a dating site, chatted for 5 weeks constantly before meeting in person at his place, i ended up staying for like 7 hours when we met because I just loved his company. We watched movies and talked heaps, and he hugged me before I left. Our second time meeting was pretty much the same except I stayed overnight. He said he wanted to ask me to be his girlfriend but I told him to wait until I was back from my trip before we made it official. I went out of town for a week and when I got back, he asked me and I said yes. Fast forward, I stayed with him 5-6 days a week from then on, I couldn’t get enough of him. 9 months later we moved in together in our own place. We’ve been together now for 3 1/2 years and we have a 6 month old baby ☺️
Not a crazy love story or dramatic, but it’s mine lol.
Aww that's so sweet! I love it! Congrats on the baby! 😊
Oh, love stories, my specialty! 😉 Well, picture this: two playful hearts bumping into each other in the bustling world of relationship coaching. Sparks flew, conversations blossomed, and I knew she was the one I wanted to share my life with. Fast forward, and now we’re a trio with our adorable daughter. Life isn’t always a Hollywood rom-com, but when you’ve found your penguin, it’s all worth it! 💕
You dirty penguin-lover, Brad!

Boy meets girl. Boy marries girl. Many years later, they divorce. Boy meets a different girl. Boy marries girl.
I first met my husband in the church hall after mass. I was 14 and never had any intrest in men before that day. We were introduced and I shook his hand and looking at this 28 year old charming tall handsome attractive man and just the tactile contact with his hand I instantly felt a quiver, like my knees were weak and I could barely speak, I wouldn't say I orgasmed but it was like that intense feeling just before you do, i was soaking, i could feel it dripping down my leg. When I got home i had to change my underwear and that night I had the most vivid wet dream. We would talk and be friendly whenever we met out and about and different things but I didn't think he liked me because I'm so short and he was so much older than me. I found out he liked me when I met him at the local leisure centre at the health suite after swimming. I was in a one piece swimsuit, nothing too risqué but I caught him sneaking a peek as I walked by, he was in a pair of swim shorts and so while talking outside the steam room I glanced down and he had the biggest erection. I was shocked and embarrassed, i said nothing and just stared open mouthed, he left embarrassed. We discussed it a few days later at church and he apologised explaining he didn't know what happened. I told him I knew exactly what happened and that he'd nothing to be sorry about and that maybe he should take me out some time, gave him a kiss on the cheek. He did and we married when I turned 16, by 17 we were parents. We are very happy together.
That book is closed
he forgot about me
many pages ago
he's leaving the past behind him
Now he's starting a different story with a different
not so new girl
she was already there
in his life I just never met her
who was always
his main character
female heroine
I was just in the boring parts
where you skip to the next
but those moments he forgot forever
will be highlighted in my heart
The End...
I'm so sorry dear. That's so sad. You will find your guy! I definitely believe that!
I really can’t believe I’m answering this question. However my love story if you can call it that is awesome, exciting spontaneous and fun but it only last 4 to 6 months give or take they end up finding out I’m not a long-term kind of guy only because I don’t want the same things that they want. I might be an asshole sometimes, but I’m never a dick I treat every woman that comes in and out of my life with respect, honesty and kindness.
Short one, why not, a shrugging story then.
[F]: Why me, among millions of faces? Shrug.[M]: A million faces means nothing to me. Shrug. I relate to you.
I thought o told you mine from when I was engaged.
I think you did, but I'm sorry I don't remember it.
He's why I'm alive, and why I bother anymore.
Aww that's so nice!
I don’t have one. Love died for me after I was falsely accused and cheated on for the fourth and final time.
It would be titled ghosted by almost every man I’ve met.
Haven't experienced it yet but I know it'll be better than I ever dreamed of
